CME-45C Trailer Mounted Drill Features

Versatility

The CME-45C drill can be mounted on a CME-55T trailer or skid mounted. Either way, all necessary options are available on the drill—water pump, hoists, auto hammer, cathead and more—to get the job done.

Cummins diesel power

The CME-45C rig is powered by a Cummins QSF 2.8L 171 cubic inch 65 horsepower diesel engine which meets US E.P.A. standards for tier-4 final level emissions.

Hydraulic feed and retract system provides 19,600 lbs. (8,891 kg) of retract force and 13,650 lbs. (6,192 kg) of down pressure

The twin 68 inch (173 cm) stroke hydraulic feed cylinders are mounted in line with the rotary drive coupling applying direct force to the drilling tools.

Rugged mechanical rotary drive with up to 4,858 foot pounds (6,587 Nm) of torque

Several torque and rotation speed combinations are available. The four speed transmission is connected to the drill engine through a heavy-duty clutch. With four forward gears and one reverse, there’s a rotation speed and torque combination available for just about any situation. The mechanical rotary drive also gives you a good feel for changes in soil and drilling conditions down the hole. It allows you to sense the need to adjust feed pressure and rotational torque.

Permanently coupled drive

The mechanical drive line of the CME-45C is always connected regardless of the position of the mast. This makes set up quick and easy. It also allows for angle borings or vertical borings on a slope.

Control logic ― the key to operator productivity

All drilling and set-up controls are logically arranged on a control panel located at the drillers station. A lock-out position for the clutch lever helps prevent accidental engagement.

Patented spindle brake stops rotation in an instant^†

Our emergency spindle brake can stop rotation in less than a revolution. This system is activated by two conveniently located push button switches, as well as by strategically located multi-directional wobble switches.

CME designed drill trailer

The CME-55T trailer is designed specifically for the CME-45C drill. It accommodates all of the typical drill functions while considering weight distribution for transport. Tool boxes, auger and drill rod racks are standard equipment. Tandem 8,000 pound (3,629 kg) axles with electric brakes provide enough capacity for the drill and everything you can carry to support it.

Leveling system

The CME-55T trailer is equipped with three hydraulic leveling jacks. Two jacks are mounted at the rear and a third is at the front. The 36-stroke offers easy leveling regardless of the site conditions.
